One of my passions in therapy is Therapeutically-Applied Role Playing Games. However, as an emerging field (that, ironically, has been around for decades without due recognition) TA-RPGs still lack that arbitrarily stamp of approval called “evidence-based practice.” Despite dozens of studies and decades of experience by therapists and counselors, TA-RPGs still get pushed to the side in discussions with community health agencies and even some private practices.
